    East Texas small towns are known for their charm and relaxing views of idyllic countryside. But, what you may not know is that they also have some great places to shop!

    You can find a large, eclectic selection of unique items at this 7,000-square-foot antique mall. It’s the biggest antique shop around Mineola and has been operating for more than 16 years.

    You can shop for unique collectibles, antiques, upcycled and vintage clothing, custom embroidery, and more from over 50 vendors. Its mission is “to assist you in the pursuit of finding your unique and wild,” so expect to have fun while finding novel treasures every time you visit.

    LW Antiques

    This antique mall is a hidden gem with around 30 vendors. You can find a variety of eclectic items.

    There’s farmhouse decor, wooden signs, seasonal decor, candles, boutique items, furniture, art, vintage and repurposed clothing, canned and dried food items, funny socks, cute tea towels, bohemian throw pillows … and the list goes on!

    Sometimes, Mineola Texas has shopping events in which local stores participate, including LW Antiques. When these events take place, shoppers have the chance to win door prizes, gift cards, or money toward a shopping spree!

    Between Friends

    At Between Friends, you can search for treasures from 20+ local vendors inside the mall. You can find antique, collectible, and vintage jewelry, as well as clothing, furniture, figurines, decor, and more. There are also homemade goods — bath soaps, essential oils, hand-sewn aprons, purses, and quilts!

    However, Between Friends isn’t just an antique mall. It’s also home to an indulgent, local favorite fudge store — Mineola Fudge Shop — where fudge is made fresh daily.

    At the Fudge Shop, you can order a variety of flavors, including salted caramel, Texas mud, peanut butter, and seasonal flavors like pumpkin and watermelon. It has quarter-pound, homemade cookies and pecan pies too!

    This mother-and-daughter-owned shop is perfect if you’re looking for a variety of farmhouse and/or shabby chic decor, furniture, tableware, and artwork. Also, the store sells seasonal decorations, cute handmade items, and vintage goods, such as casserole dishes and other dinnerware!

    Sweet Magnolia Vintage also has a few other items that make the store stand out:

    • The Hat Bar — This is fun! Pick a hat, and choose from a variety of adornments, like buttons, ribbon, pins, brooches, feathers, loose charms, and paper flowers to create your own custom hat.
    • Dixie Belle Paint — This high-quality, mineral chalk paint is great for creating a farmhouse look.
    • BruMate — This shop sells BruMate products, which include leak-proof drinkware and can coolers that are perfect for hot Texas summers.

    Thrifty Vintage

    This shop has a great selection of farmhouse and shabby chic items, including high-quality, vintage, and refurbished furniture and a large selection of vintage glassware. Other items you might find on your treasure hunt include:

    Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe

    Step off the beaten path and into this mystical little shop in downtown Mineola Texas — a home for unique collectibles, antique toys, and other odds-and-ends. Here are examples of some special items and oddities that are available or have been sold at this Curiosity Shoppe:

    • A 500-piece puzzle of Sixteen Candles shaped like a Blockbuster VHS
    • Beautiful, rustic stained glass artwork
    • “Witch’s Bundles” of intense sticks
    • Edible Soylent Green bars, referencing the 1973 dystopian ecological thriller that takes place in 2022
    • Handmade “nebula jewelry”

    In addition, the Curiosity Shoppe offers a variety of seasonal items. In the fall, it sells cute, crocheted keychains of skulls and pumpkins! On another note, if you’re feeling out of balance, you can book an appointment for a Chakra Cleansing, which includes a guided meditation and energetic reset.

    Around a 30-minute drive from Mineola Texas is an over 10,000-square-foot antique mall where you can experience nostalgia and old-world charm, which is only amplified by its location in the historic downtown district of Tyler Texas.

    It carries plenty of items for you to browse, including Victorian items and furniture, primitives, collectibles, antiques, vintage toys, books, estate items, costume jewelry, vintage pottery and glassware, home decor, seasonal finds, and items for your garden.

    The Pink Pistol

    Close to Mineola in Lindale Texas is this experiential lifestyle boutique, which is heavily influenced by famous country singer Miranda Lambert — Lindale is her hometown.

    You can find all things Miranda-inspired here with many unique items, including a large number of fun trinkets that are less than $5. It’s also home to Lambert’s retail line — Idyllwind, which includes boots, accessories, and clothing.

    If you get thirsty while you’re shopping, grab an old-fashioned soda or float. Or, head to the tasting room in Red 55 Winery (also located inside the boutique) to try one of Lambert’s nine signature wines.

    Since the 1850s, First Monday Trade Days has been an important piece of Canton culture. Today, the marketplace has grown to over 700,000 square feet and features more than 5,000 vendors, drawing in monthly crowds of thousands. In fact, it claims to be the largest flea market around the globe!

    A tip before you go: The market is divided into four main sections: Famous Fields, Trade Centers, Original 6, and Antique Alley. You can use the online map for parking and navigating the sections.
